Wellesley earned the No. 2 seed heading into the championship weekend after finishing the season at 7-1 in conference play. The Blue received a first round bye to advance to the semifinals. Wellesley will face cross-town rival Babson in the first of Saturday's semifinal match-ups, as the third-seeded Beavers advanced to the semifinals with a 5-0 victory over No. 6 Springfield on Wednesday afternoon. Wellesley's Andjela Stojkovic (Victoria, British Columbia), Sarah Yan (Holmdel, N.J.) and Selina Peng (Taichung, Taiwan) all earned victories in singles and doubles play in the contest.

Top-seeded MIT will play the winner of No. 4 Mount Holyoke and No. 5 Wheaton College in Saturday's second semifinal, with Saturday's semifinal winners slated to meet in the 2016 NEWMAC Women's Tennis Championship on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
