Wellesley's Huang Named NEWMAC Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College tennis junior Justine Huang (Coto de Caza, Calif.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 25, 2018. This is the second time that Huang has earned NEWMAC Athlete of the Week, as she was also named Singles Athlete of the Week as a sophomore on 9/6/16. 

Huang posted a perfect 3-0 record at No. 1 singles to lead the Blue to runner-up honors at the 2018 Seven Sisters Championship. Huang earned All-Seven Sisters honors while helping power Wellesley to a 4-1 victory over Mount Holyoke and a 5-0 sweep of Smith. She then recording the only Blue victory in a 4-1 setback to Vassar on Sunday.

Huang and the Blue (3-1 overall) will be back in action at non-conference Skidmore College on Saturday, March 3, at 2:00 PM.
