Peng, Chang Named to NEWMAC Tennis Academic All-Conference Team

WESTWOOD, Mass. – The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced the 2020 NEWMAC Women's Tennis Academic All-Conference Team. The squad totaled 38 selections this year, including Wellesley College tennis senior Selina Peng (Taichung, Taiwan) and sophomore Libby Chang (San Marino, Calif.).

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2019 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season. The selection is the third in three years for Peng, who was also a three-time NEWMAC All-Conference selection during her Wellesley career. Chang's selection is her first in her first year of eligibility.

Wellesley tennis opened the spring 2020 season with a 2-3 overall record, defeating RPI on March 1 and No. 20 Brandeis on March 8. Wellesley's win over Brandeis helped propel the Blue into the ITA Rankings at No. 38 prior to the cancellation of the 2020 season.
