Blue's Bickford Takes 5000m Title on Day One of ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Wellesley College track & field senior Taylor Bickford (left) captured first place in the finals of the 5000 meter run on day one of the 2015 ECAC Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the The Armory in New York City.  

Bickford earned the Blue ten points in the event with her time of 17:40.57, crossing the finish line just tenths of a second ahead of Alfred's Mary Baughman who took second with a time of 17:40.88. Junior Priyanka Fouda helped the Blue earn another top-ten finish in the event with her seventh place time of 18:21.31. 

The Blue currently sit in fourth place with 12 points overall after day one of the 2015 ECAC DIII Indoor Championships. Wellesley will return to the track tomorrow morning for day two. For live results, click here.
