Wellesley's Cwik Qualifies For NCAA DIII Indoor Track Championships
WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College track & field senior Sonja Cwik (La Cañada, Calif.) has qualified for the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. Cwik will represent the Blue in the Women's 3000m Run on Saturday, March 11, at 5:00 PM EST (4:00 PM CST).
The 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place March 10-11, 2017 at North Central College's Al B. Carius Track in Naperville, Illinois. For information on tickets, parking and more, visit North Central's Meet HQ page at northcentralcardinals.com.
Cwik qualified for this year's national meet after running a personal and school record time of 9:49.44 to win the 3000m at the Tufts Final Qualifying Meet on Saturday. Cwik owns the two fastest 3000m times in Wellesley College history, having run 9:57.00 at the Boston University Valentine Invitational on February 10. A two-time USTFCCCA National All-Academic honoree in Cross Country, Cwik's time of 9:49.44 in the 3000m ranks her ninth among the 17 qualifiers in the 3000m at this year's NCAA Championships.
