Cwik, Sharon Conclude Season For Blue Track & Field at NEICAAAs

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Seniors Edie Sharon (Winchester, Mass.) and Sonja Cwik (La Canada, Calif.) each recorded season-best times, as Wellesley College track & field closed out the season on Saturday at the NEICAAA Championships at Williams College.

Cwik finished second in her section and 14th overall in the field of 26 runners in the 1500m, topping her time of 4.40.36 at last week's New England Division III (NE DIII) Championships with a season and collegiate-best time of 4:37.15. 

Sharon was 5th in her section and 18th overall with a season-best time of 11:22.40 in the 3000m Steeplechase, dropping three seconds from her own time in the event at the NE DIII Championships. 

The NEICAAA Championships concludes the 2016-17 regular season for Wellesley track & field, the fourth under the direction of Head Coach Phil Jennings. The Blue will now wait to see the final qualifying list for the NCAA Division III Championships in Geneva, Ohio.
