Wellesley Track's Narvaez Named USTFCCCA All-Region in Outdoor 400m

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the All-Region honorees for the 2017 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season and Wellesley College track & field senior Isabella Narvaez (Cali, Colombia) has earned New England all-region accolades in the 400m.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region – as well the region's top-3 relay teams – earned All-Region distinction. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Mideast, Midwest, New England, South/Southeast and West – match those used during cross country and the indoor track & field season.

Narvaez was fifth in the region in the 400m thanks to her runner-up time of 56.88 at this year's New England Division III Championships. Also a NEWMAC All-Conference second team performer in the 400m this spring, Narvaez earns her second all-region honor of the year, after being named all-region in the indoor 200m this winter.

A two-time NEWMAC All-Conference selection, Narvaez ends her Wellesley College career as the track & field program record holder in the indoor and outdoor 200m and 400m, as well as the indoor 55m. She was also a member of record holding relay teams in the indoor 4 x 200m and 4 x 400m, and the outdoor 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m relays.
