Bio

Katie Adams joined the Blue track & field program in 2015 after spending four seasons as assistant varsity throws coach at her hometown Salem High School in Salem, N.H. Her coaching experience also includes one-year stints at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, N.H. and Pelham High School in Pelham, N.H.

A four-year athlete at Nazareth College, Adams earned second team Empire 8 honors in the outdoor shot put during her junior year. As a senior, she was named the athletic department’s Emily Haskins Inspirational Athlete Award winner, in recognition of her achievement and inspiration to others.

Adams is a USATF Level I Instructor and has completed USATF Level II schools in Youth Specialization and Sprints, Hurdles and Relays. In 2013, she completed the IAAF Level V / USATF Level III Throws Academy with distinction at The U.S. Olympic Training Center. She is also a Certified Strength and Condition Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Condition Association (NSCA).

In 2009, Adams became an Registered Nursing completing a Bachelors of Science from Nazareth. Adams went on to obtained a Masters of Science Nursing degree in the Adult-Gerontology/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist concentration from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
