Blue Volleyball Takes Center Stage on a Very Wellesley Weekend

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College volleyball will host non-conference rival Endicott College on Friday, October 13, at 4:30 PM at Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse, as Wellesley College Athletics kicks off its homecoming festivities during the second annual Wellesley Weekend on campus, October 13-16.

The Blue volleyball team is currently riding an 11-match win streak, the longest such streak for the program since the team won 12 matches in-a-row during the 2013 campaign. Friday's match will be the second meeting of the year between the Blue and Endicott, following Wellesley's 3-0 win over the Gulls on September 9 at the MIT Invitational. Friday's match will also include a pregame senior day ceremony for Wellesley volleyball senior Alina Mota.

The match will be followed by the Blue Nation Dinner, where all varsity and club student-athletes are invited to gather together with alumnae, family and friends for a pasta dinner at Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse. Last year, nearly 500 people attend the annual event.

Athletics events, including club and varsity alumnae contests, softball scrimmages and open hours at the Butler Boathouse, will continue throughout Wellesley Weekend.
