Blue Volleyball Earns 2019-20 USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

The United State Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 1,314 teams that have earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2019-2020 season, topping last year’s record by almost 200 teams. 232 programs received Team Academic honors for the first time in 2020, including the Wellesley College volleyball team.
Wellesley's Shoop to Play in NEWVA Volleyball Senior Classic All-Star Game

On Sunday, December 8, Wellesley College volleyball senior Meghan Shoop (Cypress, Calif.) will join the top senior student-athletes in NCAA Division III New England women's volleyball in the 2019 NEWVA Senior Classic All Star Game and Skills Competition. The event, proudly sponsored by adidas and The Graphic Edge, will be held at 10:00 AM in the Lahue Physical Education Center on the campus of Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass.
Four From Wellesley Recognized as NEWMAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Honorees

The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has revealed the 2019 Fall All-Sportsmanship honorees and four Wellesley College student-athletes have been recognized among the 57 fall selections.
Wellesley's Gedney, Seebold Named Honorable Mention AVCA All-Americans

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced the 39th annual AVCA All-America teams for NCAA Division III women's volleyball and Wellesley College volleyball junior Lauren Gedney (Huntersville, N.C.) and sophomore Izzy Seebold (Concord, N.C.) have each been named honorable mention All-Americans. The honorable mention selection is the second for Gedney and the first for Seebold.

The New England Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (NEWVA) has released its 2019 NEWVA Annual Awards honoring the region's Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, the All-New England Teams and the All-Rookie Team. Wellesley College volleyball junior Lauren Gedney (Huntersville, N.C.) has been selected to the NEWVA First Team and sophomore Izzy Seebold (Concord, N.C.) has been named to the NEWVA Second Team.
Wellesley Volleyball Falls to Clarkson in NCAA Regional Semifinal, 3-1

Junior Lauren Gedney (Huntersville, N.C.) tallied a match-high 17 kills but Wellesley College volleyball dropped a 3-1 (25-23, 15-25, 25-13, 25-16) final to Clarkson University in the Second Round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship at Alumni Gymnasium.

Gedney and Seebold were named to All-New England Region team, while Doerges was an Honorable Mention All-New England Performer.
