Volleyball to host Annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Match on Oct. 5

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College Volleyball will host the team's annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness match in support of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) on Saturday, October 5, at 1:00 PM, when the Blue welcome Springfield in a New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match-up at Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse.

The mission of the NOCC is to save lives by fighting tirelessly to prevent and cure ovarian cancer, and to improve the quality of life for survivors. All Wellesley Blue families, friends and fans are encouraged to donate directly to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition by visiting www.ovarian.org. Wellesley Blue fans are also welcome to make donations at the match with all proceeds going directly to the NOCC.

T-Shirts on Sale for $10

In addition to collecting donations, Wellesley volleyball will be selling limited edition teal Wellesley t-shirts, featuring the logo shown above, for $10 (cash only). Fans at Saturday's match can also pick-up teal wristbands, bookmarks, symptom cards, brochures detailing the work of the NOCC and a pamphlet entitled "What Everyone Should Know About Ovarian Cancer" in an effort to raise awareness about Ovarian Cancer.
