Bickford, Fouda, Zhou and Blue Cross Country Garner USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

WELLESLEY, Mass. — Wellesley College cross country senior Taylor Bickford (Limington, Maine), junior Priyanka Fouda (Wellesley Hills, Mass.) and sophomore Alice Zhou (Sunnyvale, Calif.) have all earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic selections.

Bickford, an Art History/Chinese Language & Culture major, Fouda, an Economics major, and Zhou, a Chemistry major, each obtained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 while finishing in the top 25 percent of finishers at this year's NCAA regional. 

In addition, Wellesley College cross country's cumulative 3.35 grade point average has earned the Blue a 2015 Division III Women's All-Academic Team Honor. To be considered an All-Academic Team, programs must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.10 or greater and competed in at least five different meets with at least five runners representing their school at each.

Wellesley College cross country finished 22nd overall at this year's NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship, marking Wellesley first team trip to the championship since 1986.
