Over the past four years, the Blue has given me a lifetime of memories and relationships very close to my heart that I know will stay there endlessly. My sport and the Wellesley community has helped shape me into the woman I am today, and I am forever grateful for the life lessons I have received.

I’ve had so many moving moments that I will continue to look back on over the years to come, but there is one that continually stands out to me. This past season, during one of our last practices, I vividly remember one afternoon session the day before a game. The sun was just beginning to set over the October colored trees covering the field in golden light. It was perfect soccer weather, about 60 degrees with a slight breeze. I was doing goalkeeping work at one end of the field and the rest of the team was doing their own thing at the other. It was a practice like any other, but after making one random save, I looked down the field at the team and was flooded with happiness. Seeing the calmness of the field and the faint laughter of my friends warmed my heart. I sat for a while in the goalmouth watching the team practice, taking it all in. I knew; this is the place and these are the people.

I also want to take a moment to thank my coaches, teammates past and present, PERA, all EULB, and my family for supporting and helping me throughout my years at Wellesley. I couldn't have done it without you. Forever and always, go Blue.
