Krista Dong '20

Fitness Center Student Supervisor, Gameday Statistician

"Krista's took great pride in her position as Fitness Center Student Supervisor for the last two years. She always performed all of the necessary responsibilities very well but that's not what set her apart. What set Krista apart is how she deeply cared about the mission and vision of the department. She added innovative ideas for the Fitness Center this year which helped staff elevated their performance, but she also kept an eye on the future and how to best help with the long term vision for the Fitness Center."

- Tim Snyder, Director of Sports Performance and Fitness

"If you play basketball you should thank Krista and for that matter, softball too. Krista started as part of the basketball stat crew before making the transition to softball. For most student workers, getting used to one stat system is challenging enough, Krista had to learn three thanks to the changing landscape of college sports statistics. Krista took was nothing short of reliable, never missed a game (even during wintersession!) and I could tell she took great pride in getting stats right for her friends and classmates. Thank you, Krista!"

- Miles Roberts, Director of Communications

Abby Dorn '20

Head Lifeguard

"Abby has been a phenomenal Lifeguard and Head Guard for four years at Chandler Pool. She exudes professionalism and always shows respect for patrons and her fellow guards. She is one of the first employees to volunteer to pick up extra shifts when someone needs a sub and she goes out of her way to make the pool area clean and friendly, often jumping in to troubleshoot issues. As the Head Guard for the past three and a half years, Abby has had a significant positive impact, leading the New Lifeguard Orientation in August and helping run in-service training sessions for our staff. She is incredibly respected by our staff."

- Dawn Dill, Aquatics Coordinator

Kendall Smith '20

Athletic Training Aid

"Kendall has assisted in the athletic training room with daily duties for the last three years and was both reliable and demonstrated great communication. Kendall is exactly what you are looking for in a student worker. She was diligent about completing necessary duties in a timely fashion and in addition to her incredible work ethic, she always came in with a smile on her face! Injuries can be so isolating for student-athletes but Kendall always made it a point to engage other student-athletes in the athletic training room who were there to address injuries, helping to make the ATR an even more inviting place to be."

- Niki Rybko, Director of Sports Medicine & Well-being
