Four Receive NEWMAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Honors

WESTWOOD, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2022 Fall All-Sportsmanship selections on Monday. Among the honorees were four Wellesley College student-athletes. Seniors Keller Gardner (Falmouth, Maine) and Ellie Murphy-Weise (San Francisco, Calif.), junior Coral Crossland (Park City, Utah), and sophomore Mikayla Tansil (Warren, Mich.) each earned their first trip to the All-Sportsmanship team. 

Wellesley Recipients:

  • Women's Cross Country: Ellie Murphy-Weise '23

  • Women's Soccer: Coral Crossland '24 

  • Field Hockey: Keller Gardner '23 

  • Volleyball: Mikayla Tansil '25 

The All-Sportsmanship Team award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each institution in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season.
