BIDDEFORD, Maine  -- Six different players scored goals for the University of New England to lead the Nor'easters to a 6-0 victory over Wellesley College field hockey in non-conference play on Sunday at UNE's Big Blue Turf.

UNE improved to 5-1 with their fourth-straight win. The setback snaps a three-game win streak for the Blue, dropping Wellesley to 4-2 overall. Today's match-up was the first contest between the two schools since Wellesley defeated UNE, 3-0, in the Second Round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament.

Junior Brooke Lemerise (Bartlett, N.H.), senior Hannah Buckley (Leominster, Mass.), senior Olivia Madore (Lyman, Maine) and junior Kersey Boulay (Liberty, Maine) all scored for the Nor'easter in a first half that saw the hosts outshoot the Blue 12-1. Boulay set-up Madore's goal at 27:59 before scoring on a penalty corner at the end of the first to give the Nor'easters a 4-0 halftime advantage.

UNE added two more goals in the second half, with sophomore Kendra MacDonald (Lebanon, N.H.) scoring on an assist from classmate Sydeny Liptak (Westfield, Mass.) and senior Becky Zakorchemny (Gilford, N.H.) scoring unassisted for the final goal of the game at 65:33.

The Nor'easters finished the afternoon with a 20-8 advantage in shots, while both teams had six penalty corner opportunities. Junior Haley Chrobock (Branchville, N.J.) had a team-high three shots on goal for the Blue.

Wellesley first year goalkeeper Janelle Sullivan (Philadelphia, Pa.) made her second career start in the cage, making nine saves on 15 UNE shots on goal. UNE first year Liz Sargent (Burlington, Vt.) made five saves to record her second shutout of the year.

Wellesley returns home to host Smith in New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action on Saturday, September 23, at 12:00 PM. UNE will play at Endicott on Tuesday, September 19, at 7:00 PM.
