Wellesley Field Hockey Welcomes Assistant Coach Katelyn Frade

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Callie Lekas '10, Head Field Hockey Coach and PERA Assistant Professor of the Practice at Wellesley College has announced the hiring of Katelyn Frade as Assistant Field Hockey Coach.

A 2018 graduate of Wheelock College, Frade was a four-year member of both the field hockey and lacrosse teams during her time at the Division III institution. She served as team captain of both programs during her senior season. Frade earned New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), and Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honors, while also scoring 168 points (73 goals, 22 assists) in 66 career field hockey games and 96 points (73 goals, 21 assists) in 66 career lacrosse games. 

In addition to her time on the field and in the classroom at Wheelock, Frade spent two years working within the Wheelock Athletic Department as a Data Analyst, tracking recruiting and statistical data and helping to schedule team travel. A native of Dartmouth, Mass., Frade earned a B.S. in Human Development/Developmental Psychology with a minor in Understanding Autism and Life Science.
