11 Earn NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Field Hockey Recognition

WESTWOOD, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) is pleased to release the 2022 Field Hockey Academic All-Conference Team. A total of 11 Wellesley student-athletes were honored. 

Selections must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2022 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Senior Lindsay Strong (Concord, Mass.) was named to the All-Conference Team for the third consecutive year. Fellow senior AK Williams (Greenville, S.C.) received the honor for the first time. Juniors Jocelyn Andrews (Malvern, Penn.), Kyra Deehr-Lewis (Newtown, Penn.), Alex Lenart (Princeton Junction, N.J.), Cassidy Novello (Scotch Plains, N.J.), and Caitlin Papagelis (Westborough, Mass.) each earned the honor for the second time. Making their first appearance on the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team are sophomores Penny Juarez (Los Angeles, Calif.), Camille Newman (Manhattan, N.Y.), Eleanor Wenners (Rye, N.H.), and Rose Weseley (New York, N.Y.).
