WELLESLEY, Mass. - Wellesley College field hockey had three athletes receive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference honors on Wednesday. Senior Lindsay Strong (Concord, Mass.) was named to her second NEWMAC All-Conference First Team while junior Alex Lenart (Princeton Junction, N.J.) made her second All-Conference appearance. Joining the pair was first year Ceci Miller (Lewiston, Maine) who was named to the All-Conference Second Team in her first collegiate season.

Strong served as not just a defensive stalwart for the Blue, but an offensive threat as well. With four season goals and an assist, in addition to a pair of defensive saves, Strong became a two-way player for Wellesley helping led the Blue back to the playoffs for a third-consecutive season.

Lenart was the spark plug that charged the Blue's offensive. With a team-leading seven goals, including three game winners and a hat-trick against NEWMAC foe Clark, the junior forward stellar offense included a three game scoring streak against Babson, Mount Holyoke, and Springfield. Lenart also recorded three assists for Wellesley.

In Miller's first year on the Blue the middlefielder/forward's prescence was felt. Starting in all 18 games, Miller finished the year with four assists, tied for the team lead. Miller also scored a game-winner against Nichols on Oct. 5 and had a very promising .700 shot on goal percentage. The future will be bright for Miller and Wellesley.
