Strong Earns Second Career NFHCA All-Region Honor

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced the 2022 Division III All-Region teams on Tuesday with Wellesley College field hockey senior Lindsay Strong (Concord, Mass.) receiving the Region I All-Region honor.

This is Strong's second straight year being named to the Region 1 First Team, following a season which also saw Strong earn her second consecutive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference First Team honor. Strong was a leading defender for a Wellesley team that made the NEWMAC Quarterfinals, with the senior scoring four goals and earning an assist for the Blue. Strong also recorded a a pair of defensive saves for Wellesley.


The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
