Wellesley Softball Announces 2023 Schedule

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The Wellesley softball team has released the 2023 schedule under head coach Keri O'Meara in her 20th year at Wellesley.

The Blue begin the season with an away doubleheader at Simmons on March 19 followed by a home opener against Nichols on March 22. The team then heads out for spring break with a trip down to Texas starting on Monday, March 27. The team will compete in three days of double header action, beginning with games against Texas Lutheran on Monday, followed by play against Trinity (Texas) and Schreiner. The Blue return from Florida for the home opener on Saturday, April 1 against MIT, which is both the home opener and the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener for the Blue. The Blue then host Endicott on Wednesday, April 5 before alternating hosting games against Springfield, Brandeis, Babson, and Emerson with road games at Smith, Wheaton, Clark, Coast Guard, and WPI. When all is said and done the Blue will play 22 games in a busy month of April. The Friday, April 28 games at home against Emerson will serve as Wellesley's senior day.

The first round of the NEWMAC Championships take place on Wednesday, May 3, followed by the second round on Friday, May 5. The championship will happen on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7 with the time to be determined.

  • Vs. MIT: Saturday, April 2, 2023 at 12:00 PM (NEWMAC opener/Home Opener)

  • Vs. Emerson: Friday, April 28, 2023 at 3:00 PM (Senior day)

  • NEWMAC Championships: Wednesday, May 3 - Sunday, May 7, 2023
