Wellesley College crew senior Kelsey Campbell (Broomfield, Colo.) has been named a 2018 Pocock/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) First Team All-American. Campbell, also the 2018 New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Rower of the Year is the ninth first team All-America selection for the Blue during the tenure of Head Coach Tessa Spillane.

2018 marks the first time in program history that the Blue have finished as the NCAA national runner-up.

The Wellesley College crew Second Varsity Eight (2V8+) earned silver and the Varsity Eight (V8+) finished fourth overall to help Blue Crew claim national runner-up honors in the team competition during Saturday’s Grand Finals at the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships at Nathan Benderson Park.

New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) champion Wellesley College crew will make the program's ninth consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships, Friday and Saturday, May 25-26, 2018 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla. This year's championships are being hosted by the University of Central Florida (UCF). 

Wellesley won a pair of opening heats as the 2V8+ and 3V8+ each advanced to Grand Finals (Frank Poulin).

Highlighted by opening heat victories from the Second Varsity Eight (2V8+) and Third Varsity Eight (3v8+), Wellesley College crew competed in the 2018 National Invitational Rowing Championships throughout the day on Friday on Lake Quinsigamond.

Blue Crew totaled 92.16 to finish second in the Women's Point Trophy standings (Frank Poulin).

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2018 Rowing Coach of the Year on Thursday morning. After leading the Blue to their eighth consecutive conference title and their ninth straight trip to the NCAA Championships, Wellesley College Head Coach Tessa Spillane has been voted as the 2018 Rowing Coach of the Year.

No. 9 Wellesley College crew opened the 2018 spring season on Saturday, racing four 2000m events in a 15 mph quartering headwind on the Charles River. The Blue faced a good early season test against No. 3 Williams, No. 10 William Smith, and the lightweight crew from Division I MIT, earning victories in the Second Varsity 8 and Third Varsity 8 races.

Wellesley College crew kicked-off their 2017-18 campaign on Sunday afternoon at the 53rd annual Head Of The Charles Regatta (HOCR). Founded in 1965, the HOCR is a two-day rowing event held on the Charles River in Boston that feature many of the top rowers, teams and clubs from around the world.
