Blue Varsity Eight Earns Second NEWMAC Boat of the Week Honor

WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Wellesley Varsity Eight has earned a second New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Rowing Boat of the Week honor, for the week ending April 10.

The Wellesley V8+ earned a second place and first place finish over the weekend. The Blue put together a 6:47.60 on Saturday and fell just under three second short to No. 2 Bates to place second. The Blue Crew then got revenge on Sunday and edged out Bates with a time of 6:43.87 and took first place in their race at Lake Quinsigamond.

The Blue Crew are back in action on Saturday, April 16 to take on Hamilton, Rochester, Smith, and St. Lawrence in Rome, New York.
