Blue Fencing No. 3 in Division III in USFCA Poll

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Wellesley College fencing has been voted No. 3 in Division III fencing in the latest United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) pre-season poll.

New York University was the top ranked Division III fencing program, followed by Johns Hopkins in second, and then Wellesley. Princeton fencing was voted the top overall program in all divisions. 

Wellesley recently opened their season at the LIU Shark Tank Challenge, where the team went 2-3, picking up wins over Drew and Stevens, the latter of which was ranked No. 6 in Division III in the USFCA poll. 

The Blue will return to action Sunday, November 13 at the Vassar Invitational in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Host Vassar was ranked No. 8 in Division III in the USFCA poll.
