Wellesley Golf to host Annual Batchelder Invitational to open 2019-20 Campaign

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College golf and 2018-19 Liberty League Coach of the Year Sherry Makerney will open the team's 2019-20 season with the annual Ann S. Batchelder Golf Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15 at Wellesley's Nehoiden Golf Club. 

The tournament, now in its 12th year, is the first of four on the fall portion of the team's schedule. Wellesley will play three more tournaments in spring, including the 2020 Liberty League Championship, May 2-3, 2020.  Last season, the Blue earned a program-best second place finish at the Liberty League Championship. 

September is the busiest month of the year for the Blue, following the Batchelder Invitational, the team will tavel to the Mount Holyoke Invitational (Sept. 21-22) and the George Phinney Jr. Golf Classic (Sept 28-29), hosted by Middlebury College. The fall season concludes with the Williams Invitational (Oct. 5-6), while tournaments at Vassar (April 11-12) and Amherst (April 18-19) are set for the spring. For complete details, visit the team's 2019-20 Schedule page.
