Wellesley Golf 4th After Day One of Williams Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Led by junior Emma Lim (Skillman, N.J.) the Wellesley College golf team sits in fourth after the first day of the Williams Fall Invitational at the Taconic Golf Club. 

Lim shot a 73 on the par-71 course, placing her third overall among all competitors, and only two strokes behind leader Tiya Chowdary (Belle Mead, N.J.) of New York University. Lim was trailed closely by first year Emily Hou (San Ramon, Calif.), who continued her standout first season for Wellesley with a 76, good for 6th overall. Sophomore Elizabeth Kim (Riverside, Calif.) shot an 82, while seniors Kate MacVicar (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) and Caroline MacVicar (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) shot 83 and 85 respectively for the Blue. 

After one day of competition, NYU leads all teams with a score of 304, followed closely by Amherst College (307), host Williams College (312), and then Wellesley (314). Christopher Newport University, Hamilton College, Middlebury College, Ithaca College, and SUNY Cortland are also taking part in the tournament.

Round two will begin tomorrow at 9:00 AM from the Taconic Golf Club.
