WELLESLEY, Mass. -- University of New England senior forward Becca Murphy (Durham, N.H.) scored with 1:31 left in regulation to help the visiting Nor'easters earn a 2-1 non-conference win over Wellesley College soccer on Wednesday at the Wellesley Fields Complex.

UNE improves to 2-1-0 on the year, while the Blue fall for the first time in 2017 to move to 1-1-1 overall.

Sophomore Katie Beaudoin (Coventry, R.I.) set-up the game-winner, delivering a low cross to Murphy who redirected the ball past a Wellesley defender and Blue goalkeeper Olivia Reckley (Grosse Ile, Mich.) for her second of the season at 88:29.

Beaudoin finished the contest with a goal and an assist, setting up Murphy's game-winner and scoring the first goal of the game at 33:36 of the first half. With the contest scoreless past the first half hour, Beaudoin took a chance from outside the penalty area that found its way into the goal for her third of the season.

Sophomore Julia Jung (Oakland, Calif.) found the equalizer nearly eights minutes later for the Blue, depositing a rebound to make the score 1-1 at 41:54. Wellesley senior Gen Crotty (Toronto, Ontario) ripped a shot off the crossbar on the play, before the rebound fell to Jung to tie the game.

Wellesley finished with an 18-13 advantage in shots, including a 10-6 advantage in the second half, but couldn't find the go-ahead goal. UNE junior Emily Ashman (Madison, Conn.) made 11 saves, six in the second half, to pick up her first win of the year. Reckley turned back five shots and is now 1-1-1 overall.

Wellesley will host Lesley University in their next contest on Saturday, September 9, at 12:00 PM. The Nor'easters will also play Saturday when they travel to Maine Farmington for a 2:00 PM kick-off.
