WELLESLEY, Mass. -- First year Thea Feldgoise (Brookline, Mass.) scored a hat trick and recorded an assist in her collegiate debut to lead Wellesley College soccer to a 4-0 non-conference victory over Simmons University on Friday afternoon at the Wellesley Fields Complex.

Feldgoise scored a pair of goals in the first half before adding her third at 74:43 of the second to cap the 4-0 Wellesley win. The Blue (1-0-0) have now won six straight contests against Simmons (0-0-1) dating back to the 2014 season.

First year Eliza Roy (Camden, Maine), who assisted on Feldgoise's second goal of the game, also recorded her first career goal to make the score 3-0 at 67:11. Roy's marker came on a great one-two set-up from Feldgoise and classmate Gabriella Nicolosi (New York, New York) at the top of the box. Roy then buried a shot past Simmons starter Melanie Colman (Holliston, Mass.). Colman (0-0-1) made seven saves on 11 Wellesley shots in the loss.

Wellesley senior goalkeeper Olivia Reckley (Grosse Ile, Mich.) made three saves to pick up her first win of the year. Classmates Maddie Lee (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Hannah Knoll (Boise, Idaho) each added assists, as Wellesley outshot the Sharks 23-5 in the game. Lee's marker came on the open goal, as she sent Feldgoise in on goal for what would eventually be the game-winner at 15:03. The assist was the first point of her career.

Next up, the Blue will return home to face Lesley on Wednesday, September 4, at 4:00 PM. Simmons will play the team's home opener tomorrow at 11:00 AM versus Mount Holyoke.
