WELLESLEY, Mass. - Wellesley College soccer tied with No. 24 Emerson 0-0 in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game on Friends and Family Weekend Saturday.
Senior Kendall Lincoln (San Diego, Calif.) stopped four shots for the Blue (5-7-2 Overall, 0-6-2 NEWMAC) while sophomore Amara Schaub (Torrance, Calif.) saved six shots for the Lions (8-3-4 Overall, 5-1-2 NEWMAC).
Midway through the first half Wellesley first year Kyra Narunatvanich (Naperville. Ill.) nearly broke the scoreless tie with a shot from close range that deflected off the crossbar.
Late in the contest with just over three minutes remaining junior Thea Feldgoise (Brookline, Mass.) had a shot on a breakaway for the Blue, though Schaub made the save to maintain the tie, which remained until the end of the game.
The Blue travel to Wheaton for a NEWMAC matchup Tuesday at 3:00 PM. The Lions finish a two-game road stretch Wednesday with a 3:00 PM game at Smith.
