WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The Wellesley College swimming & diving team won 11 out of 14 swimming events to complete a 174-115 victory over New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) rival Mount Holyoke at Chandler Pool.

For the second consecutive meet, Cecilia Cai (Palo Alto, Calif.) earned a win in two separate individual events. The first win for Cai came in the 1000 yard freestyle relay with a swim of 11:01.68 and in second was Julia Lucey (Old Greenwich, Conn.) with a time of 11:34.09. Cai earned her second victory in the 100 yard butterfly at 1:01.20 just ahead of Mira Tang (Mercer Island, Wash.) whose 1:03.16 time was good for second. 

Sophomore McKaela Glanville (Menlo Park, Calif.) also captured two wins in the afternoon. She swam a 1:06.17 in the 100 yard backstroke to just edge out Alyssa Senneff (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) who clocked in at 1:06.32. Glanville then won the 500 yard freestyle at 5:25.46 and Maya Hart (Menlo Park, Calif.) swam a 5:40.41 to earn second place.

After being a part of the NEWMAC Relay of the Week team for Wellesley, senior Marisa Papagelis (Westborough, Mass.) earned her first individual event this season, with a 2:04.57 in the 200 yard freestyle. 

First year Shawfong Hsu (Taipei, Taiwan) took the gold in the 100 yard backstroke at 1:11.10, just sneaking ahead of teammate Jessica Wegner (Taipei, Taiwan) who clocked a 1:11.37. Wegner would bounce back and earn a win in the 100 yard freestyle at 56.44, making it her third consecutive meet with a victory.

Sophomore Ariana Mitsuoka (Centennial, Co.) won the 50 yard freestyle event with a solid time of 25.29. Teammate Elizabeth Park (Dix Hills, N.Y.) would go on to win the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:33.35, nearly four seconds ahead of second place finisher Mitsuoka.

Wellesley would go on to win the 400 yard medley relay with the team of Wegner, Hsu, JJ Kim (New Haven, Conn.), and Mitsuoka. The foursome finished in 4:12.26 and earned 11 points towards the Blue win.

In the diving events, Mount Holyoke's Kathryn Murphy (Fairport, N.Y.) placed first in the 1 meter with a score of 270.25 and the 3 meter with 234.50 points.

The Blue will return to the pool for the MIT Invitational starting on Friday, December 3 and concluding on Sunday, December 5.
