Blue Swimming & Diving Welcomes Diving Coach Gabe Bamforth

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Bonnie Dix, Head Swimming Coach and Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics (PERA) Associate Professor of the Practice at Wellesley College has announced the hiring of Gabe Bamforth as the Diving Coach of the Wellesley College swimming & diving team.

Bamforth joins the Blue after serving as the Assistant Coach at Charles River Diving, where he led elementary and high-school divers in dryland and pool practices.

Bamforth was a diver at Carnegie Mellon University from 2015-2019, where he set school records in both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter diving. Bamforth was also named a five-time NCAA All-American and received All-University Athletic Association Honors. He graduated with a degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering and a minor in Creative Writing.
