WESTWOOD, Mass. - Wellesley College swimming and diving first year Elsa Marsden (Vienna, Va.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Diver of the Week for the week ending October 30, 2022.

Additionally, Wellesley's 200 Medley Relay team consisting of first years Tracey Liu (Princeton, N.J.), Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.), Aubrey Cantrell (Palo Alto, Calif.), and junior Ariana Mitsuoka (Centennial, Colo.) were named the NEWMAC Women's Swimming Relay of the Week team.

In her first collegiate event Marsden won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in a dual meet against Wheaton. Marsden earned a scores of 237.00 in 1-meter diving and 204.10 in 3-meter diving to defeat her Wheaton adversaries and earned a total of 18 points for the Blue.

The 200 medley relay team won their race with a glowing time of 1:46.90. The time was under a second behind Wellesley's all-time 200 medley record, especially impressive considering this was the first collegiate race for three members of the relay team. The team finished .54 seconds ahead of Wheaton to earn a win for the Blue.

The Blue return to action this Friday with a 6:00 PM dual meet at Simmons.
