Blue Swimming & Diving’s Dashti Ready to Compete at The 2024 Olympic Games

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Rising Wellesley College swimming & diving junior Lara Dashti (Kuwait) is set to represent the nation of Kuwait at the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. Dashti will become the first student-athlete in Wellesley Athletics history to compete at the Olympics while still an active member of the Blue. 

Dashti will be competing in the 100m Breaststroke event. The opening heats will begin at 11:00 AM local time (5:00 AM EST) on Sunday, July 28. Semifinals and finals will take place later in the day.

Dashti previously competed for her country at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. She took part in the 50m Free event and was a flagbearer. She recently represented Kuwait at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar.

The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris begin on July 26 and run through August 11.
