Wellesley Swimming & Diving Head Coach Bonnie Dix Announces Retirement

Bonnie Dix, Wellesley College Head Swimming & Diving Coach and Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics (PERA) Associate Professor of the Practice has announced her retirement following a remarkable 37-year tenure at the helm of the Blue Swimming & Diving program. Dix will officially retire at the conclusion of the 2023-24 academic year; a nationwide search for Wellesley’s next head coach is already underway.
Blue Swimming & Diving Finishes Season with 200 Breaststroke, 400 Free Relay at NCAA Championships

Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) and the 400 Free Relay team of senior Ariana Mitsuoka (Centennial, Colo.), sophomore Tracey Liu (Princeton, N.J.), Sekhon and sophomore Aubrey Cantrell (Palo Alto, Calif.) were in action on the final day of the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. The event has taken place at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) placed eighth in the 100 Breaststroke to become an All-American on Friday at the 2024 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. The event is being held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, hosted by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) won the 200 Breaststroke race on the final day of the NEWMAC Championships, held at MIT's Zesiger Center Pool. The Blue finished fifth out of 10 in the team competition for the second straight year.

Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) won the 100 Breaststroke event to earn NEWMAC First Team All-Conference honors on Saturday at the NEWMAC Championships, held at MIT's Zesiger Center Pool. Sekhon's time of 1:02.37 shattered her own program record and was good for an NCAA "B" cut.
