ITA Names Blue Tennis Senior Sojung Lee Regional Most Improved Player of the Year

Wellesley College tennis senior Sojung Lee (Seoul, Korea) has been named the Northeast Region’s Most Improved Player of the Year, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Given annually, the award recognizes a senior that improved the most over the course of their collegiate career. Lee is now a finalist for the national award.

Blue Tennis Finishes as Seven Sisters Runner-Up

Wellesley College tennis finished the 2015 Seven Sisters Championship with a 3-1 record, falling only to tournament champion Vassar in the de facto championship match, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Smith Tennis Courts. Mount Holyoke took third with a 2-2 record, while Smith (1-3) and Bryn Mawr (0-4) rounded out the team standings.
Wellesley Tennis Cruises on Day One of Seven Sisters

The Wellesley College tennis team won a pair of matches to open the 2015 Seven Sisters Championship with a perfect slate. The Blue swept both Bryn Mawr and Mount Holyoke at the two-day event, which is being hosted by Smith College.

Blue Tennis Opens Nor' easter Bowl with Victory Over Bates

Wellesley College tennis held on to take a 5-3 victory over visiting Bates College in the opening match of the 4th Annual Nor' easter Bowl on Thursday evening at Dorothy Johnston Towne Fieldhouse. Wellesley improves to 10-4 on the year with the win. Bates moves to 4-6 overall with the setback.

No. 27 Wisconsin-Whitewater earned a 6-3 victory over No. 24 Wellesley College tennis on Wednesday morning at the Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, FL. The Warhawks took two of three doubles match ups and four of the six singles matches to improve to 14-0 on the season. Wellesley drops to 9-4 overall.

Wellesley College tennis jumped four spots to No. 24 in the latest ITA Division III Women's National Rankings. The Blue finished the fall season as the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season runner-up, advancing to the NEWMAC semifinals after going 8-3 overall and 7-1 in conference play.
