Fortnam Leads Track and Field With Fourth Place Finish at NE DIII Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Senior Taylor Fortnam (Portola Valley, Calif.) finished in fourth place overall in the steeplechase at the New England Division III Championships to lead Wellesley College track and field on Saturday afternoon at MIT. Wellesley finished 28th overall with seven points.

Fortnam completed the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:29.27 to earn her fourth place finish.

Sophomore Taylor Mahlandt (Ephrata, Pa.) took in a seventh place finish with the 5000m at 18:31.18.

Senior Isabella King (Cincinnati, Ohio) competed in both the 1500m and the 800m, earning career-best times in both competitions. She finished the 1500m in the 16th spot with a 4:46.22 time and finished the 800m in 2:20.58.

Senior Priscilla Lee (Anaheim, Calif.) took the 17th spot in the high jump with 1.54m. Sophomore Tatenda Rameau (Syracuse, N.Y.) completed the 200m at 20th overall with a
26.41 time.

Wellesley track and field will be competing next weekend, Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13 at the NEICAAA Outdoor Championships at Dartmouth College.
