BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Ari Marks (Eagle Point, Ore.) set a new Wellesley record in the 3000 meter run, clocking a 9:36.80 at the David Hemery Valentine Invite hosted by Boston University on Friday night. In total, four Blue runners set new personal records in the non team scoring invite.

Marks recently held the second fastest time in school history before breaking that feat on Friday night. The 9:36.80 put her past Sonja Cwik '17 who held the school record since 2017. Marks finished in 27th place out of 103 total runners.

Junior Claire Anderson (Denever, Colo.) set a new personal record in the mile run, coming in at 5:14.34 and was the top finisher for Wellesley in the event. Senior Maya Bradbury (Freeport, Maine) broke her record from 2019, running a 5:16.13 mile. The final Blue to break a personal record was junior Ellie Murphy-Weise (San Francisco, Calif.) who ran an impressive 5:24.86 mile.

The Blue compete tomorrow at the Gordon Kelly Invitational hosted by MIT starting at 12:00 PM.
