Ari Marks Takes Runner-Up in the 5K at the NCAA Division III National Championship

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Senior Ari Marks (Eagle Point, Ore.) finishes as the runner-up in the 5000 meter race at the 2022 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Marks clocked in at 16:19.20, a new personal record and the third fastest time in Division III history, which was good for second place out of 20 runners and earned All-American honors. Kassie Parker (Guttenberg, Iowa) of Loras College placed first with a time of 16:15.06, a new course record. 

Marks will compete in the 3000 meter tomorrow at 4:30 PM where she currently ranks sixth in the nation.
