The 2020-21 Joy Renjilian-Burgy Inspirational Award goes to Cross Country and Track & field senior Blythe Logan (New York, N.Y.), whose fortitude, patience, determination and unwavering optimism in the face of adversity is a daily inspiration to teammates, coaches, and our support staff.

The Wellesley College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is made up of student-athletes that serve as the liaison between the student-athletes at Wellesley and the administration, and provide insight into the student-athlete experience. SAAC exists at the institutional level, conference level, and national level for DI, DII and DIII divisions, and every NCAA school has a SAAC. SAAC also helps to plan events to enhance the student-athlete experience at Wellesley, including: tailgates, Earn the W Days, the Athlete Formal, the alum networking dinner, panels, and Fireside Chats. SAAC also works with the PERA Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee, the Athletic Mentors, Academic Success Coaches, and LeadBlue to bring athletes a plethora of events and opportunities to connect with student-athletes, both past, and present

Wellesley's first U.S. Winter Olympian is on pace to be its next. Clare Egan '10, a former cross country and track & field student-athlete and founder of the Nordic Skiing Club at Wellesley College, is one of the first Americans to qualify for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

Blue Cross Country Earns Nine NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Honors

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced the 2020-21 Women's Cross Country Academic All-Conference Team. A total of 79 student-athletes were selected, including nine from the Wellesley College cross country program.
