2019-2020: 

  • Finished the season with a 12-0 record as a junior.
  • Went 5-0 at the LIU invitational with a 3-0 win over Hunter and 1-0 wins over Drew and LIU.
  • Went 7-0 at the Vassar Invitational with a 3-0 win over LIU and 2-0 wins over Yeshiva and Hunter.

2018-2019:

  • Finished the sophomore season with a 48-29 record overall.
  • Kicked off the season with a 12-5 finish at the LIU Post Invitational.
  • Went on to score 10-6 at the Vassar Invitational with a 3-0 win against Haverford.
  • Scored 14-4 at the Northeast Fencing Conference Meet #1.
  • Helped the Blue achieve 17-10 and 19-8 wins against Tufts and Brandeis.
  • Finished 12-5 at the Northeast Fencing Conference Meet #3, defeating Smith and Boston University with 3-0 scores.
  • Finished 32nd place at the NCAA Northeast Regional.

2017-2018: 

  • Went 42-30 overall.
  • Posted a 13-2 finish to open the season at the LIU Invitational on November 5..
  • Went 9-7 at the Vassar Invitational on November 12 with 2-0 wins against CCNY and Wagner.
  • Finished 6-9 at the Northeast Fencing Conference at Brown on November 18.
  • Contributed to Wellesley’s 19-8 victory against Sacred Heart with a 3-0 finish.
  • Went 2-1 against Tufts on December 5.
  • Finished with a 10-4 record at the Northeast Fencing Conference Meet #3 at Smith on February 10.
  • Posted a perfect 3-0 finish against Vassar on February 10.
  • Tied for third place at the NEIFC Championships on February 24.
  • Placed 33rd at the NCAA Northeast Regional on March 11.

Before Wellesley: 

  • Attended the Academy for Math, Science and Engineering, and graduated in 2017.
  • A National AP Scholar and member of National, Math, Science, and Social Studies Honor Societies.
  • Fenced at Morris Fencing Club and Premier Fencing Club.
  • Four letter varsity fencer for Morris Hills High School and captain during her junior and senior years.
  • Three time NJAC All-Conference first team, NJAC All- Academic team, and NJ State individual qualifier.
  • Placed first in Morris County and NJ District I Individual Championships.

Personal: 

  • Daughter of Chin Hu and Cheng-Chung Tsao.
  • The only child in the family.
  • Born in Durham, NC and lives in Succasunna, NJ.
  • Besides fencing, she also plays the oboe and piano.
  • Chose Wellesley because of the strong academics and the chance to fence in college.
