Blue Golf Starts Strong at Williams Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Wellesley College golf sits in fourth with a team score of 313 after day one of the Williams Invitational at the Taconic Golf Club on Saturday. 

Host Williams' "Purple" squad leads the team competition with a score of 293. Pomona is in second place after day one with a score of 301, followed by Hamilton with a score of 308, and then Wellesley in fourth. Williams junior Gio Kim (Upper Saddle River, N.J.) leads the individual competition after shooting a 68 (-3) on Saturday.

First year Audrey Wang (Fremont, Calif.) led the Blue with a 76 on Saturday, followed by classmates Sarah Yeh (Danville, Calif.) and Grace Sun (San Diego, Calif.) who both had sub-80 rounds with a 78 and 79. 

First years Aileen Du (Auckland, New Zealand) and Sophia Lewis (Ventura, Calif.) rounded out the Blue with an 80 and 81 respectively. 

Junior Norah Catlin (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) carded an 87 playing as an individual.
