Blue Golf Ranked No. 13 in WGCA Poll

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Wellesley College golf is ranked No. 13 in the latest Mizuno Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) NCAA Division III Coaches Poll on February 16, 2024. This is the highest that Wellesley golf has been ranked in program history on record.

The Blue are the top ranked program in the Liberty League. George Fox and Pomona-Pitzer begin the spring season tied for No. 1 in Division III.

Wellesley set a program low 36-hole score of 604 (302-302) to win the NEIGA Championship this past October. Additionally, the Blue captured first at the Polar Bear Shootout at Bowdoin earlier this fall.

First year Audrey Wang (Fremont, Calif.) earned a pair of Liberty League Performer of the Week honors in the fall. Wang also received the Liberty League Women's Rookie of the Week award for the week of September 18, 2023.

First years Grace Sun (San Diego, Calif.) and Sarah Yeh (Danville, Calif.) have each been named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week this season.  

Head Coach Jackie Beck's team begins the spring season on March 22 in Jekyl Island Ga. at the Jekyll Island Women's Invitational.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 750 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
