Blue Golf Wins NEIGA Championship; Sets Program Low 36-Hole Score

BREWSTER, Mass. – Wellesley College golf set a program record across 36 holes this weekend with a score of 604 (302-302) to win the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship on Sunday at the Par-72 Captains Golf Club in Brewster, Mass.

First years Sarah Yeh (Danville, Calif.) and Audrey Wang (Fremont, Calif.) had identical 72's (E) on Sunday and each carded a 148 (76-72) for the weekend to tie for second.

The Blue finished 23 strokes ahead of the next best team, with Hartford shooting a 627 to finish second. Bates (655), Babson (666), and Suffolk (673) rounded out the top five. Bates senior Alex Voight-Shelley (State College, Pa.) won the individual competition with a score of 147 (75-72).

Also finishing in the top-five for Wellesley was first year Aileen Du (Auckland, New Zealand), who placed fifth after shooting a 153 (74-79)

First years Sophia Lewis (Ventura, Calif.) and Grace Sun (San Diego, Calif.) tied for ninth with matching scores of 157.

First year Kaurvaki Bajpai (Chantilly, Va.) played as an individual and shot a 158 (79-79) for the weekend.
