Wellesley Soccer Sees Six Receive CSC Academic All-District Honors

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College soccer seniors Thea Feldgoise (Brookline, Mass.), Remi Fernandez (Valencia, Spain), Alyssa Ing (Irvine, Calif.), Paige Sangston (Greenwich, Conn.), and Cindy Zeng (Mill Creek, Wash.), and junior Carrie Huang (Seattle, Wash.) were all named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday. 

The 2023 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The award is given to athletes who in addition to being impactful on their respective team, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, and have achieved second year status at their academic institution.

Feldgoise, Sangston and Zeng each had a pair of goals for the Blue this season, with Feldgoise earning NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honors for the week of September 3.

Fernandez scored a goal in a NEWMAC contest against Clark while Huang scored against NEWMAC foe Salve Regina and added two assists on the season. Ing helped lead a the Blue's defensive unit, limiting opponents to 1.20 goals allowed against on the season, and starting every game for Wellesley.
