WESTWOOD, Mass. -- On Thursday, the NEWMAC released the 2023-24 Women's Swimming & Diving Academic All-Conference Team. 13 members of Wellesley College swimming & diving received the accolade.

Selections must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2023 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Seniors Alice Johnson (Seattle, Wash.), Mona Li (Cary, N.C.) and Ariana Mitsuoka (Centennial, Colo.) were each named to their third consecutive Academic All-Conference team. Classmate Mira Tang (Mercer Island, Wash.) and juniors JJ Kim (New Haven, Conn.) and Julia Lucey (Old Greenwich, Conn.) all earned their second Academic All-Conference honor.

Senior McKaela Glanville (Menlo Park, Calif.) was recognized for the first time along with sophomores Aubrey Cantrell (Palo Alto, Calif.), Lara Dashti (Kuwait), Tracey Liu (Princeton, N.J.), Elsa Marsden (Vienna, Va.), Emily Richardson (Bedford, N.H.) and Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.).

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) consists of 12 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Salve Regina University, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
