Four Members of Blue Tennis Make NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team

WESTWOOD, Mass. -- On Monday, the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) revealed the 2024 Women's Tennis Academic All-Conference Team. Four members of Wellesley College tennis are among the honorees.

Seniors Melinda Alviar (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Annissa Mu (Saratoga, Calif.) each add a third Acamdemic All-Conference accolade to their collection. Classmate Jennifer Fan (Vancouver, British Columbia) receives the recognition for the second time in her career. Sophomore Emilee Pak (Chicago, Ill.) joins the trio in her first year of eligibility.

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2023 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) consists of 12 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Salve Regina University, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
