Wellesley Track & Field Announces 2023-24 Schedule

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College track & field and head coach Phil Jennings have released the team's 2023-24 schedule. The Blue will compete at the Mary Grinaker Invitational on Saturday, December 2 to begin the indoor season.


Key Dates:

  • Saturday, December 2, 2023: Mary Grinaker Invitational at Smith College
  • Saturday, March 2, 2024: New England DIII Indoor Championships at The TRACK at New Balance, Boston, Mass.
  • Saturday-Sunday, April 27-28, 2024: NEWMAC Track & Field Championships at Springfield College
  • Friday-Saturday, May 2-3, 2024: New England DIII Outdoor Championship at MIT

Following winter break, Wellesley begins the new year at the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday, January 13. The rest of January includes the Branwen Smith-King Invitational at Tufts (Jan. 20) and the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University on January 27.

The Blue begin February with the Tufts Cupid Challenge (Feb. 3) before returning to Boston University for the Valentine Invitational (Feb. 9-10). Wellesley will also compete in the Gordon Kelly Invitational on Saturday, February 10, hosted by MIT. The Blue travel to Smith for the Peter de Villiers Cup on February 17 before competing in the New England Division III Championships at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass. on Sunday, February 25. The NEICAAA Indoor Championship will be held March 1-2.

The outdoor season will begin with the Coast Guard Invitational on April 6 and the Silfen Invitational on April 12-13. Both events will take place in New London, Conn. The Blue head to Mount Holyoke for a tri-meet with the Lyons and Smith on Saturday, April 20. The team will compete in the NEWMAC Championships, hosted by Springfield, on April 27-28.

Wellesley continues its season at the New England Division III Championships, hosted by MIT, on May 3-4 and the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) on May 10-11 at a location to be determined.
