Six Volleyball Members Named to NEWMAC All-Academic Team
WESTWOOD, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) is pleased to announce the 2021 Volleyball Academic All-Conference Team. A total of 80 student-athletes earned the award.
Nicole Doerges (San Marino, Calif.), a Theater Studies and Cinema and Media Studies major, and classmate Tiffany Shou (San Jose, Calif.), a Chemistry major, each earned the recognition for the third consecutive year. Fellow senior Izzy Seebold (Concord, N.C.) was named to the list for the second time and is a Psychology major. Junior TylerBell Smith (Frisco, Texas), a Neuroscience major, also earned the honor for the second time. Kara Jenkins (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Kate Salembier (Sierra Madre, Calif.) both made the All-Academic Team in their first year of eligibility.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2021 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
