Nicole Doerges Named to NEWMAC First Team All-Conference

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released the 2021 volleyball conference and postseason awards on Tuesday with senior Nicole Doerges (San Marino, Calif.) being named to the First Team All-Conference. 

Doerges, a 2019 Second Team All-Conference member, powered the Blue offense with a league leading 403 kills. The outside hitter not only finished first in the NEWMAC, but led the NCAA in kills per set at 5.60 with the next closest at 4.82. In 20 games this season, Doerges posted 20 or more kills 12 times and recorded double-digit kills in each contest. On Saturday October 23, the senior had a career-high 31 kills in a 3-2 victory over Hamilton College. Doerges finished second on the team with 166 digs and finished her career with an outstanding 945 kills and 651 digs in three seasons.
