LeadBLUE: Annual Alum Networking Event to take place on April 7th as part of NCAA Division III Week

Wellesley College Athletics will conclude NCAA Division III Week 2024 with the annual LeadBLUE Student-Athlete Alum Networking Event, sponsored by Friends of Wellesley Athletics, on Sunday, April 7 from 12:00 - 1:30 PM. The event will take place in the Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse. This year's LeadBLUE Alum Networking Event will include a brief panel discussion with alums and an informal networking session over mocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

Wellesley College student-athletes are asked to RSVP for the event to attend. Suggested attire: business casual. The following alum student-athletes are expected to attend:

Ellis Barera '20, Crew | Research Assistant, Boston Children's Hospital

Ellis Barrera rowed on the crew team, participated in Army ROTC, and majored in Middle Eastern and Health & Society. After graduation, he started working in clinical research at the Gender Multi-specialty Services (GeMS) program at Boston Children's, which is the oldest clinic in North America caring for transgender youth. He has worked on a variety of projects, related to eating disorders, fertility preservation, pubertal blockade, HIV and chronic illness among trans youth and adolescents. Drawing from his expertise in trans health, Ellis is currently applying lessons learned to research projects focused on sexual health counseling for patients with muscular dystrophy. With over 15 peer-reviewed articles to his credit, Ellis aims to continue his research journey next year at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. There, he plans to pursue surgery to further contribute to and advance gender-affirming surgical care.

Janet Krevolin '84, Soccer/Lacrosse | Professor of the Practice in Biomedical Engineering, Tufts University

Janet Krevolin '84 lives in Somerville, Mass. She played Soccer and Lacrosse at Wellesley, serving as captain of both teams. Janet majored in Math and Computer Science and has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of Texas at Austin. She works at a Medical Device start-up and is Professor of the Practice in Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University. Janet currently volunteers her time as the Alumna Co-Chair of the Friends of Wellesley College Athletics National Committee.

Jen Lamy '13, Crew | Associate Director of Sustainability, Emerson College

Jen Lamy is the Associate Director of Sustainability at Emerson College in Boston. In her role, she leads all sustainability planning, implementation, and reporting for the college. This includes moving Emerson towards its 2030 carbon neutrality goal, reducing the amount of waste produced on campus, and collaborating closely with departments across the institution to educate the entire campus community about their role in creating a more sustainable future. Prior to Emerson, Jen led the Sustainable Seafood Initiative at the Good Food Institute and prior to that worked on the federal climate policy team at the nonprofit Ceres. She majored in economics and environmental studies at Wellesley (class of 2013) and also holds a Master's of Environmental Management from Duke University.\

Mary Lemay '17, Field Hockey/Lacrosse | Attorney, Greater Boston Legal Services

During her time at Wellesley she majored in Political Science, minored in Cinema & Media Studies and was the sports editor for The Wellesley News. Mary spent two seasons on the field hockey team and four on the lacrosse team. She studied abroad at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. After graduating she worked at the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office in Boston for two years before entering law school at Northeastern University School. At Northeastern she focused her legal studies on the systemic nature of gender violence and anti-carceral solutions to address harm. Mary was a student-attorney in Northeastern's Domestic Violence Clinic where she was trained by Margo Lindauer ('03) in providing client-centered and trauma-informed legal representation to survivors of intimate partner violence. After graduating in 2022 she started a two-year Equal Justice Work Fellowship at Greater Boston Legal Services focused on providing legal representation and counsel to pregnant and postpartum survivors of domestic violence in their family law cases. Her practice includes restraining orders, divorce, custody, paternity, and child support. Mary's project seeks to prevent unnecessary entanglement in the Family Court system and to empower perinatal survivors to make informed decisions about the safety and security of their families.

Anna Diaz Triola '95, Volleyball | Executive Biotech Leader

Anna Diaz Triola '95 is an executive biotech leader based in the Boston-area. She was a four-year starter and served as captain of the Wellesley Volleyball team, and majored in Psychology and Spanish. Anna earned her MBA from Harvard Business School in 2000.  She lives in Carlisle, MA with her family and currently volunteers her time as a member of the Friends of Wellesley College Athletics National Committee.

Morgyne Weaver '15, Basketball | User Experience Designer, Autodesk

Morgyne graduated from Wellesley in 2015 with a major in Media Arts and Sciences. She was a member of the basketball team for her four years at Wellesley and one of only 12 players in program history to score over 1,000 career points (1,092). Morgyne is now working as a User Experience Designer at Autodesk.

Ale Zaldivar-Giuffredi '16, Crew | Counsel (Privacy), The Walt Disney Company 

Alessandra serves as Counsel in The Walt Disney Company's (TWDC) legal department and is a member of the Privacy Legal team. Prior to joining TWDC, Alessandra was an Associate with the Global Technology Disputes industry group at White & Case LLP, a large global law firm based in New York. Alessandra also maintains an active pro bono practice, is a member of TWDC's Latino Lawyers' Outreach Group, and is a member of the Disney Lawyers of Color ("DLOC+") affinity group. Since 2023, Alessandra has served as a Board Member of the Hispanic National Bar Foundation. Alessandra earned a J.D. from Washington University School of Law and an LL.M./Master 2 from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne as part of a dual-degree program.  Alessandra obtained a B.A. in Political Science and Romance Languages (French, Italian, and Spanish) from Wellesley College in 2016.  While at Wellesley, she was a coxswain on the Crew Team for all four years and a member of the team and Varsity 8+ that won NCAAs in 2016.


LeadBLUE cultivates the growth of leaders within athletics, in the classroom, and beyond. In alignment with the mission of the college, this program prepares student-athletes for effective, practical leadership, instills the values of discipline, critical thinking, and responsibility in their pursuit of excellence. Student-athletes will come away from the program with the tools to lead confidently and affect positive change now and in the future.
